Cafe: How We Began

The seed money for this project came from National Capital Presbytery through a "Transformation Grant" the purpose of which is to "assist a congregation to respond to a changing ministry context, embrace and initiate change, and develop innovative programs or projects that lead to increased vitality in the congregation." The PPC Transformation Team had a brainstorming session which resulted in a proposal which Session approved.

We originally envisioned "re-purposing" the "back room" of Speer Hall for the Cafe.

We fully understood that the plans would change and evolve as the project moved along, as more of the congregation became involved, and our vision coalesced.
